Payments for Services

Payment for cleaning services in cash or by check, is due in full at the time of service unless other arrangements have been made. If no one is going to be home on the day of your scheduled cleaning service, you can leave your payment on the kitchen counter. If you forget to leave a payment as agreed, we will try to contact you before we start your cleaning project. If we are unable to contact you, we will need to reschedule your appointment and you will be charged a $50.00 cancellation fee.

Payments not received within 7 days will incur a late payment penalty of $25.00 per week starting from the original due date.

Great Lakes Cleaning-Pa gladly accepts payment in the form of Cash or Personal Check. Should a check be returned, a $ 75.00 Returned Check Fee will be added to your account. We do not except post dated checks.

All non recurring cleanings are based on an hourly rate per person on the job. Also specific  jobs done.

If you are dissatisfied with your cleaning service for any reason, please contact us within 24 hours of your cleaning

In the event we agree to send an invoice after we do the cleaning, we expect payment within 14 days. If an invoice was sent, We may charge a late fee for any amounts which are not paid when due. The late fee of $75.00 will be charged for each month an invoice is not paid. Customers shall also be responsible for all costs of collection (including reasonable attorneys’ fees) to collect overdue amounts.

Skipped Cleanings & Cancellations

As a recurring client, you are receiving a discounted rate. As a recurring cleaning client, please consider our scheduling/preparations and that we are reserving a time slot for your cleaning.  If there are any interruptions in regular service, we MAY charge additional fees if additional time is needed to bring your home back to an easily maintainable level. A cancellation fee of $50.00 will also apply if you do not cancel at least 12 hours in advance or the night before.

Price Increases

We reserve the right to adjust our rates at any time. You will be notified 30 days prior to any price increases.

Service Limitations

  •  If an area in the home has the potential to be considered a bio-hazard (emptying/cleaning cat litter boxes, human/animal excrement, etc) we will not clean that area.
  • If we come across a bug infestation or cockroach infestation we have right to stop with the service until it is taken care of by a professional and charge the amount we at Great Lakes  feel is fit for the associated time on the job. Additional cleaning  charges may occur for cleaning suppies and equipment.
  • We cannot move furniture over 15 lbs unless agree upon prior. Great Lakes will try to reach all visible places with an extension duster.
  • We do not use a buffing machine to clean, polish or buff floors.

We expect you to have your home picked up as much as possible so that we can do a good cleaning job. We will do some light straightening of the areas that we clean. If such areas/surfaces are cluttered at the time of cleaning, we will clean around those areas and you will be notified.

Valuables

If you ask us to clean around items of monetary/sentimental value, we will be as careful as we can, but you understand that you are completely responsible for repairing or replacing any damaged item or items even if Great Lakes Cleaning-Pa may have caused the need for repair or replacement.
We ask that any computers or electronic items with personal information be taken or shut off during any cleaning by Great Lakes.

Entry to Your Home

If you choose to not give us a key or a location of hidden key or garage door code in advance, you or your representative must be home during a given specified time frame to let us in your home. If no one is home when we arrive, a $50.00 cancellation  fee will be charged.

You may leave us a key in advance. In the event of termination of the cleaning agreement, keys will be returned to you within 48 hours of the final cleaning.

If you choose to leave their door unlocked or leave their house key in an unsecured place for the cleaners to gain entry, you assume all responsibility for damage made before or after we leave the premises.

You may either disarm your alarm system for your scheduled date of cleaning or you may contact your alarm company and have them issue us a house cleaner code.

Employee Solicitation

By hiring us, you agree not to solicit any of our staff members for any other home-related cleaning services. If you are found to have solicited one of our staff members, please be advised that our referral/ training fee is $2,500 payable immediately upon employing our staff for any additional cleaning related services to your home/ business. Your cleaner (s) will also be immediately terminated.

Digital Media

Occasionally we like to take before and after pictures of your home. If we decide to use any exterior images of your home, we may contact you as a courtesy but is not required. At no point will any image include images of any person living in the home. We may like to use exterior images for possible advertisement on such places as our website, etc.

Any interior pictures will be for our reference only and will not be publicized without your consent. Interior images will only be focused on parts of a room showing damage or discrepancies we may have found and will not be focused on personal property unless that personal property was damaged and an image is required for our insurance purposes. If we do desire to use pictures of the interior of your home, for our advertising, we will contact you directly before doing so.
